Les
Western-Russell

Les was born and educated
in Wanganui NZ, he spent a
number of years racing saloon cars (working three jobs for the
money), established NZ’s first off-road saloon car track and
wrote and coordinated a monthly motoring page. During his OE he
ski’d professionally at some of the world’s top ski
resorts.
Returning to NZ he entered broadcasting as a D.J. assisted in
the establishment of a closed circuit radio network at the
Waikato Hospital and became programmes manager to a number of
Nth Island stations. Competing in sport at National levels in
dirt bike racing, water skiing, scuba diving he also obtained
senior ranks in three styles of martial arts.
It was during this time he heard the words from Dale Carnegie
which were to change his life: “Help as many as you can to get
what they want in life and you’ll need suitcases to carry your
money to the bank”. Holding a NZFFBS certificate and
charging no fee, Les spent a number of years in South Auckland
teaching money management, budgeting and wealth creation to the
new immigrants. As a result a number of these families now own
multiple investment properties.
Les runs his own joint venture companies in finance broking,
property management, property investment and property
development. He is passionate about creating wealth for
families through property investment. After all as
Multi-millionaire author Robert Kiyosaki (Rich Dad’s
Retire Young, Retire Rich) states: “In property, I can
make money, and the Government will let me count it as a loss
of money. The Government gives
me a
tax breaks on my gains rather than making me pay taxes on my
capital gains.”
The other clues you get as to why property is such outstanding
investments are: Over 90% of the worlds millionaires made their
wealth through prudent property investment, and as Les says
“You don’t have to be wealthy to invest, but you do need to
invest to be wealthy...it’s a no-brainer
really”
